The Technical
Committee is meeting 2/4 times a year and is providing the latest updates on
European norms and standards. As soon as a relevant matter on standards will be
highlighted, the Technical Committee will be evaluating applicability and
consequences in all countries and preparing position paper to be recommended to
the Board. Subjects treated by the Committe are starting from 2010, when the it
has been created.

In order to obtain a harmonized European market, the European organisation for standardisation, CEN, elaborates standards in the field of office furniture, mainly concerning dimensions, requirements (safety, strength and durability) and test methods.
